Celebration Sandwich Loaf
- 1 – 16 inch long unsliced loaf of sandwich bread (can use any flavor but needs to be rectangular)
- 3 – 8 oz packages Philadelphia cream cheese
- 1.2 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
Combine ingredients for fillings; mix lightly. Remove crusts from bread; cut in 5 lengthwise slices. Spread each with margarine or butter and a filling. Stack layers; chill thoroughly. (can be prepared to this point and refrigerated overnight. Frost and garnish the day it is to be served).
Combine softened cheese and Miracle Whip, mixing until well blended. Frost sandwich loaf. Garnish with cherry tomatoes (use 1/3 scooped out and top cut to imitate a tulip flower), carrots (serrated with a cove in the middle = one flower) radishes, whole kernel corn (five kernels in a circle with pimiento in the middle = one flower) , green onion (stems of garnish), chives, cloves, parsley (leaves of flowers) and pimiento. Chill until 20 minutes before serving time.
Of course you can use your favorite fillings and mayonnaise etc.
Ham salad filling
- 1 ½ cups ground cooked ham
- 1/3 cup chopped pickle
- ½ cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Salmon salad filling
- 1 – 7 ¾ oz. can salmon, drained, flaked
- 1/3 cup sliced ripe olives
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
Egg salad filling
- 6 hard cooked eggs, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
Chicken salad filling
- 1 ½ cups ground cooked chicken
- 2/3 cup drained crushed pineapple
- ¼ cup chopped green pepper
- Salt and pepper
- 1/3 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
- Serves 12
